Daphne McDonald, WHNP, BC has joined the Breast Cancer Alliance at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas as Nurse Practioner for the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Service.
Daphne is a native Canadian where she received her RN Training. After migrating to Texas in 1995, she furthered her education at UT Southwestern where she received Board Certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practioner in 2002. Her unique background in women's health and her real-world experiences in nursing make her the ideal person to help create and oversee the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Service, a part of the Breast Cancer Alliance at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Her responsibilites will include identifying and enrolling susceptible women in a surveillance program designed to diagnose incipient breast cancer and intervene. Statistics show significant improvement in breast cancer mortality with early diagnosis and treatment. |
